The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

23rd Psalm:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

The psalmist starts out this beautiful statement with this declaration of security and surety.  This scripture has also been translated to say, ”The Lord is my shepherd, I LACK NOTHING”.  For those who have surrendered the lordship of their life over to God, he is now their shepherd. He is now the one who leads, provides and protects. He always has the best in mind, knows exactly what is needed and his perfect will is revealed in the daily aspects of life. The more we walk with the shepherd, the more we become sure of his voice and have confidence in him. The more we know his word and hide it deep within our hearts, the less likely we are to stray. As we walk along through the journey of this life, our faith deepens as we experience his never-failing love and care for us as the sheep of his pasture.

Have you surrendered the guidance of your life over to the good shepherd?  I can assure you that it is the most liberating and comforting thing to know that your life is securely in the hands of almighty God, creator of the universe. Trust in him to be the leader and provider of your life. If you do, you will never be the same.

Trust in the Lord today with full knowing that you lack nothing.
