Dwell

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Because of the knowledge and experience of the goodness and mercy of God, we can traverse this life with great confidence and surety.

The last verse of the 23rd psalm, David provides the capstone to the previous verses about God’s leading through the valley of death, to the green pastures and beside the quiet waters.  The provision of the Good shepherd will continue on beyond to this life to when we are with the Lord, to Dwell with him forever.  God’s provision for his children is truly without end.  Through the work of Jesus and the mercy extend to us, the fellowship between God and man has been restored and we have been welcomed to Dwell with the Lord forever. For now, we see only in part, just a glimpse of the majesty and the goodness of God. One day we will see and know in full.  It is with that full knowledge, we will dwell with him. Praise be to the Lord for the fellowship we now have with the Good and Merciful Shepherd!
